Lamentations 3:40 (ESV) encourages us, “Let us test and examine our ways, and return to the Lord!”

Think about the last time you went to the doctor. The doctor studied you carefully in order to make a proper assessment of your condition. In the same way, we all need spiritual checkups to assess our spiritual condition – to make sure we’re on track.
